Obama's approval rises in Newsmax/InsiderAdvantage poll

President Barack Obama’s approval rating has pulled even with the percentage of those who disapprove of the job he’s doing since the killing of Osama bin Laden, a Newsmax/InsiderAdvantage poll released Tuesday shows.

The poll  also shows Americans, including a plurality of Democrats, believe President George W. Bush contributed to bin Laden’s death.

While it might not seem impressive, the dead-even verdict on Obama’s performance represents a jump from polls prior to this past weekend in which the level of disapproval exceeded approval by up to six points.

InsiderAdvantage CEO Matt Towery said he expects Obama’s approval to rise into the 50s in coming weeks.

“It will take some time to digest. As people hear how he put it together, I expect him to improve further,” Towery said.
