Sen. Pat Roberts’ (R) poor primary performance has apparently carried over into the general election season: A number of recent polls show Roberts leading the general election but with less than 40 percent in a three-way field that also features a Democratic candidate and a wealthy independent/former Democrat. Roberts should probably still be OK given that there’s no runoff, but this race is going from Safe Republican to Likely Republican as a precaution.
