North Carolina: Clinton leads Bush. In the latest Elon Poll, Hillary Clinton gets the support of 46% of the state’s registered voters to 40% for Jeb Bush. On issues, by 69% to 27%, voters believe parents should be required to vaccinate their children and by 47% to 44%, they oppose same-sex marriage ……. Virginia: McAuliffe, legislature reach budget deal. Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Republican leaders in the state Senate and House of Delegates reached agreement on a budget that includes McAuliffe’s spending for mental health and economic development, but omits Medicaid expansion and tax increases. McAuliffe praised lawmakers in both parties for “bipartisan leadership and cooperation.” Listen up, Obama, McConnell and Boehner. Listen up!!! ……. Kentucky: Paul continues outreach. US Sen. Rand Paul (R) will be on the program at the South by Southwest music festival in March, talking about technology in politics. The Hill newspaper says that Paul’s “appearance at SXSW is further evidence that young voters and an aggressive digital strategy will be primary touchstones” for Paul’s expected White House bid …….
