Virginia: Kaine hits Congress on war vote. Last week, on the tenth anniversary of the US air war against ISIS, US Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) criticized the Congress for its failure to pass an Authorization of Use of Military Force (AUMF). “We are not supposed to be at war, in a declared war, on the say-so of a president without a congressional vote,” Kaine said on CNN, adding that not to vote on AUMF was “very disrespectful of the troops that we’re asking to risk [their] lives.” ……. Mississippi: Christie campaigns with Bryant. Gov Chris Christie (R-NJ) traveled to the Magnolia State last week, where he appeared at a fundraiser for the GOP, then made a campaign stop with Gov. Phil Bryant (R-MS) at Flowood. “It would be good to have Phil Bryant for another four years,” Christie said, reported Mississippi News Now ……. South Carolina: White House wannabe’s court conservatives. Seven candidates or likely candidates for the Republican presidential nomination made their cases Saturday to a gathering of PalmettoState conservatives in Greenville. Scott Walker (WI) touted his victories in Democratic Wisconsin. Carly Fiorina cited her business experience. Rick Santorum urged focusing on working-class voters. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Rick Perry and Ben Carson also spoke. Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee and Chris Christie were busy elsewhere ……
