Flag: Poll shows divisions on Confederate flag. According to a CNN poll, 57% of Americans nationwide view the Dixie banner as a symbol of pride rather than racism. Among Southern whites, 75% say pride to 18% racism; among Southern blacks, 75% say racism, to 11% pride. Nationally, 68% oppose renaming streets and highways named for Confederate leaders and 71% oppose removing tributes to those who fought for the Confederacy from public places …….
