Sen. Marco Rubio isn’t taking the latest New York Times story about him lying down.
In response to a new article on Monday about Rubio’s ties to Cuba and the feeling toward him there, the 2016 presidential hopeful tweeted that the new piece was essentially “propaganda” about him.
The “traffic tix” refers to a previous Times story that reported the Rubios — though mostly Mrs. Rubio — had gotten 17 traffic citations since 1997. The “luxury speedboat” is a dig at another Times article claiming that the Florida senator had splurged on a luxury speedboat that was, in fact, a fishing boat.
