Kentucky: McConnell announces highway bill agreement. US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) said yesterday that he and US Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, had reached an agreement on a six-year funding measure for transportation infrastructure. But it’s not yet a done-deal. Boxer called the bill “a breakthrough,” but said details still need to be examined. House conservatives will also look carefully at the revenue sources involved ……. Mary Fallin (R) spent $1,096,777 on her second inauguration last January, according to recently released report. “We worked hard to make the inauguration a celebration of Oklahoma history and culture …,” said Fallin’s spokesman, Alex Weintz, “thanks to a lot of generous supporters.” The entire event was paid for by contributions, reported The Oklahoman …….
