David Jolly (R) has become the fourth Republican to announce his candidacy for the US Senate seat of Marco Rubio, who is stepping down to run for president. Jolly was elected to represent the 13th District (St. Petersburg) in a special election in 2014 ……. Texas: Cornyn hits Iran deal. US Sen. John Cornyn (R) yesterday criticized the proposed nuclear agreement with Iran. Noting that Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, one of the US negotiators, had said earlier, “We expect to have … anywhere, anytime access” for inspections, Cornyn said the agreement now provides for as much as three weeks notice for inspections, reports the Washington Examiner …….
