Analysis from pollster/columnist Matt Towery of InsiderAdvantage/Creators Syndicate/FOX5 Atlanta:
“OpinionSavvy conducted this poll with our organization in numerous southern states. Donald Trump continues to lead the field in Florida. In our August survey Trump was tied with Jeb Bush. Now he owns first place by himself. But coming up quickly behind him is Ben Carson. Carson jumped ahead of Bush, presumably as a result of the national exposure he received in the first GOP presidential debate. Trump’s strongest support by far comes from the youngest of voters (age 18-29). But he also seems to be strong with those aged 45-64, a potent segment of Florida GOP primary voters. Carson has a big lead among the 30-44 age group. That’s a segment who tend to be most active with schools and community issues related to their children. Bush remains consistent among all age groups but has lost his earlier steam, at least for the moment. Marco Rubio continues to lag behind with 6%.”
