Louisiana: Senate race developing. In the wake of US Sen. David Vitter’s (R) loss in the gubernatorial runoff and his decision not to seek reelection next year, the list of potential candidates to run for his Senate seat in 2016 is already growing. On the Republican side, reports Politico, US Reps. Charles Boustany and John Fleming, state Treasurer John Kennedy, Public Service Commissioner Scott Angelle and retired Air Force Col.
