After the state Republican executive committee voted in favor of requiring primary voters to swear that they are Republicans, Donald Trump, who has support among independents and perhaps some Democrats, lashed out at the party, reports the Washington Post. Trump tweeted, “R.P. Virginia has lost statewide 7 times in a row. Will now not allow desperately needed new voters. Suicidal mistake. RNC MUST AT NOW!” ……. Kentucky: Paul tops in Senate attendance. US Sen. Rand Paul has missed fewer votes in the Senate than any of the other Republican senators running for president, reports the Lexington Herald-Leader. Paul voted 94% of the time.
