Alabama: Shelby launches TV campaign. US Sen. Richard Shelby (R), who will be seeking his sixth term this year, aired the first television ad for his reelection effort last week, reports The TV spot, which aired during last Thursday’s Alabama-Michigan State game, focused on Shelby’s constituent service, noting that he visits all of the state’s 67 counties every year ……. Florida: Rubio helped brother-in-law. In 2002, when Marco Rubio was speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, he sent a letter to the Florida Division of Real Estate asking that his sister’s husband be granted a license to sell real estate, according to the Washington Post.
