North Carolina: Burr draws three primary foes. Three challengers have filed against two-term US Sen. Richard Burr (R) for the March 15 Republican Primary. Greg Brannon, a doctor who garnered 27% in the 2014 primary with Tea Party support against now-Sen. Thom Tillis (R), has filed again. Retired businessman and former campaign manager Larry Holmquist and retired Superior Court Judge Paul Wright also filed, both avowed conservatives.
