North Carolina: Aiken endorses Sanders. Pop vocalist and former congressional candidate Clay Aiken endorsed Bernie Sanders for president, reports the Washington Post. Aiken said he thought Hillary Clinton would win the nomination, but hoped she would “learn from the Bern.” ……. South Carolina: Graham endorses Cruz. Conceding that John Kasich would now be his first choice, but acknowledging he saw no path to the GOP nomination for the Ohio governor, Lindsay Graham (R) last week endorsed his old nemesis Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the GOP presidential nomination, reported the Washington Post. “The bottom line is that I believe Donald Trump would be a disaster for the party,” Graham said, adding, “I don’t think he’s qualified to be commander in chief.” ……. Virginia: Goodlatte to focus on criminal justice reform. US Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, told the Ripon Society that the committee is drafting criminal justice reform legislation and  “has not only been working with Democrats across the aisle to find a solution, but with members of the Senate across Capitol Hill.” He noted the committee expected to report a bill soon …….
