Georgia: Perdue cites voter frustration.  Sen. David Perdue (R) said in an op-ed in Townhall.com that a “dangerous power vacuum” caused by officeholders paying attention to special interests rather than voters’ concerns “has completely shifted the political paradigm… There is now a disconnect between the Washington political class and everybody else – the insiders versus the outsiders.” …….

North Carolina: Burr leads, but Trump could hurt him. A Public Policy Polling (D) firm showed US Sen. Richard Burr (R) with a 40% to 35% lead over Deborah Ross, the Democratic nominee; Libertarian Sean Hill drew 7%. But if Donald Trump is the presidential nominee, 48% of voters would be less likely to support Burr compared to 22% who would be more likely to vote for him …….
