Boozman told Garland that he still believes “the next president should fill the vacancy. My position is firm.” Boozman added, in a statement, that “we can disagree without being disagreeable.” ……. Florida: Grayson faces ethics inquiry. The Office of Congressional Ethics has issued a 74-page report contending that there is “substantial reason to believe” that US Rep. Alan Grayson (D) violated House rules and federal law when he managed a hedge fund while serving in Congress, reports The Hill. Grayson, a liberal firebrand, is in a tight US Senate primary ……. South Carolina: Scott has weak opposition. The filing deadline passed last week, leaving US Sen. Tim Scott (R) with three foes, reported the Anderson Independent Mail, none of whom has political heft. One Democrat filed, Thomas Dixon, an activist who conquered addictions and survived a prison sentence; he is stressing gun control. In addition, two candidates have filed with the American Party, a “good government” group that will choose its nominee in May …….
