South Carolina: Clyburn cites rural needs. Addressing a Community Leaders Institute in Orangeburg, US Rep. James Clyburn (D) said too often government aid was focused on urban areas, reported the Times and Democrat. Noting that problems in cities often involved young people who had moved from rural areas, Clyburn said, “If we had the infrastructure, the roads, the bridges, if we had water that is safe to drink … they wouldn’t be going someplace else looking.” …….

Kentucky: Paul would restrict drone use. Focusing on an issue that has long concerned him, US Sen. Rand Paul (R) introduced an amendment, with US Sen.
