Florida: Nelson wins on offshore drilling. US Sen. Bill Nelson (D), a longtime foe of drilling for oil off the Sunshine State’s tourist-heavy coastline, last week lifted a hold on the energy bill after US Sen. Tennessee: Corker says world needs US. “The world is in need of US leadership and clarity probably more so than at any time in modern history, and right now we’re not seeing that,” US Sen. Virginia: Warner supports medical marijuana bill. US Sen. Mark Warner (D) is cosponsoring the Therapeutic Hemp Medical Access Act, a proposal that would exempt certain medical marijuana substances from a federal ban, reports WVIR. Warner said that he hopes “Virginia and the nation will move forward to make sure parents can get access to this drug, because it works for these kids.” …….
