Florida: Grayson, Minning wed. US Rep. Alan Grayson (D), a left-wing firebrand and current US Senate candidate, and Dona Minning (D), a physician and current candidate for Grayson’s US House seat, were married Sunday in a private ceremony. A major benefit for Minning, reports the Washington Post: As Dona Grayson, she will have significantly more name ID than as Dona Minning. The primary is on August 30 ……. Texas: Hensarling unveiling Dodd-Frank alternative. Next week, in an address to the Economic Club of New York, US Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R), chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, will present his replacement proposal for the Dodd-Frank law, which he has called “regulatory water-boarding,” reports The Hill ……. Virginia: Prosecutor worries about felons on juries. “It’s insulting to victims, especially in very sensitive cases, to have someone who has committed that crime sit in judgment of the person who has wronged you,” Loudoun Commonwealth Attorney Jim Plowman told the Washington Post.
