Arkansas: Cotton calls for destruction of ISIS. “I spent many days clearing the streets and homes of Iraq of these terrorists,” US Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said in a statement in response to the latest massacre in Baghdad, “and it sickens me that they’ve made a comeback in a different form to terrorize that nation again.” Cotton, a veteran of the war in Iraq, serves on both the Senate Armed Services and Intelligence committees ……. After Coastal Carolina University won the NCAA College World Series last Friday, Gov. Nikki Haley (R) ordered the college’s flag flown on the statehouse dome. Her move prompted a negative response from James Bessenger of the SC Secessionist Party, which contends her action was illegal, because no special legislative session was called, as required by law. “There’s no difference between her unbridled use of power and President Obama’s executive orders,” Bessenger said, as reported in Charleston’s Post & Courier …….
