Florida: Scott’s wealth declines. Financial reports filed with the Commission on Ethics disclosed that Gov. Richard Scott’s (R) wealth, in a blind trust, fell from $146.8 million at the end of 2014 to $119.55 million a year later, reported The Daily Record. However, the governor’s home in Naples went up slightly in value, from $15.39 million to $15.44 million ……. Kentucky: Paul blasts Clinton on emails. US Sen. Rand Paul (R), in an essay published in Time magazine, wrote that “If the FBI’s decision to not prosecute Hillary Clinton is accepted, we will have become a nation of two sets of laws: one for the Clintons, and one for everyone else.” Paul called FBI Director James Comey’s press conference “astonishing.” ……. North Carolina: Trump and Corker, but no McCrory and Burr. When Donald Trump, accompanied by US Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) – who withdrew his name from the veep sweepstakes yesterday – addressed a campaign rally Tuesday evening in Raleigh, neither Gov. Pat McCrory (R) nor US Sen. Richard Burr (R) were present, reported the Charlotte Observer. McCrory said he was on a long-scheduled out-of-state trip with his wife. Burr said, as chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, he needed to be in Washington because of the terrorist attacks in the Middle East. Both men are seeking reelection this year …….
