Texas: Bad news for Cruz. “It’s all about Ted,” said US Rep. Ted Sessions (R) on Ted Cruz’s refusal to endorse Donald Trump Wednesday night. Sessions made the remark at a breakfast yesterday for the Lone Star State’s delegation. And a cable news commentator – MSNBC? CNN? – said on air that Cruz’s non-endorsement went over “like a fart in church.” ……. South Carolina: McMaster rocks the convention. Lt. Gov. Henry McMaster (R), the first elected official to endorse Trump – last January – nominated The Donald on Tuesday night. In his opening comments, reported The State newspaper, he joked that he asked his wife if she had “ever, in her wildest dreams, seen me standing here nominating Donald Trump for president.” She replied, “I hate to tell you, but I’ve never seen you in any of my wildest dreams.” ……. Virginia: Bill Clinton boosts Kaine. If former President Bill Clinton were picking Hillary Clinton’s running mate, reports AOL, he would choose US Sen. Tim Kaine. A strong Clinton backer, Kaine is both a former governor and serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee. He also speaks fluent Spanish …….
