South Carolina: Clyburn gets GOP support for poverty bill. US Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC), Assistant House Minority Leader and the Palmetto State’s sole African-American Congressman, has been pushing legislation that would funnel federal funds into high-poverty areas. Now he’s getting some high-level backing, from House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and US Rep. Hal Rogers (R), chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, reports The Hill. Stay tuned ……. Lamar Smith (R), chairman of the House Science Committee, referenced a posting by an employee of Reddit, the company which managed Hillary Clinton’s private server, that asks how to digitally change the addresses on some of the Clintonemails, information not available at the time of the FBI’s investigation. “If true, these details raise new questions” about whether legal requirements were met, said Smith in a letter written to Reddit on Monday, reports The Hill …….
