Polls: Hillary won debate, but … The CNN poll of debate viewers showed 57% believed Hillary Clinton won the debate to 34% who thought Donald Trump won. But Vocative analyzed tweets during and for several hours after the debate and found that 140,000 tweets call Trump the winner, to 60,000 who believed Clinton came out on top. Twitter users, like the CNN poll, saw Clinton as the winner of the first debate ……. Alabama: Bentley not supporting Trump. “I certainly won’t vote for Hillary Clinton, but I cannot and will not vote for Donald Trump,” Gov. Robert Bentley (R) said in a statement issued on Saturday. Bentley was himself the subject of scandal rumors regarding emails he sent to a top female aide, though he denied improper behavior ……. Arkansas: Westerman prefers Pence. US Rep. Bruce Westerman (R) said in a statement, prior to the latest debate, “My preference is for Mr. Trump to give serious thought as to what is best for our country. If that is to step aside and let Gov. Pence lead the ticket to prevent a Hillary Clinton presidency, then I would be in full support.” …….
