Kentucky: Chao to head DOT. President-elect Donald Trump tapped Elaine Chao to become his Secretary of Transportation. Chao, who served as Secretary of Labor for eight years under President George W. Bush, is the wife of US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). She is the fourth Southerner named to a cabinet-level post by Trump, joining US Sen. Jeff Sessions (AL), Gov. Nikki Haley (SC) and US Rep. Tom Price (GA) ……. South Carolina: Graham knocks Trump on voter fraud tweet. US Sen. Lindsey Graham (R), a long-time critic of Donald Trump, warned him about baseless tweets: “You are now the president-elect of the United States.
