Alabama: Documentary on Roby airs. Alabama Public Television aired a documentary on the daily life of a member of Congress, focusing on US Rep. Martha Roby (R). “With the start of a new Congress and new presidential administration … It’s really the perfect time to offer this inside look into what happens in Congress,” Roby told Al.com ……. Mississippi: Bryant praises law enforcement in State of State address. In remarks addressed to his state’s public safety officers, Gov. Phil Bryant (R) thanked them “for keeping our families safe,” reports The Washington Times. Addressing state legislators, Bryant added, “I appreciate the legislation you have introduced to protect law enforcement and show the nation that here in Mississippi, Blue Lives Matter.” …….Virginia: Northam, Gillespie raise most money. In the latest financial reports, Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam (D) reported $2.5 million on hand; his primary foe, ex-US Rep. Tom Perriello (D), does not have to file a report until April. On the GOP side, ex-Republican National Committee chair Ed Gillespie reported $2 million on hand, more than his three primary foes combined, reports the Washington Post …….
