Virginia: Northam, Gillespie ahead in primary polls. Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam (D) drew 26% of respondents in a poll of Democrats, with 15% supporting former US Rep. Tom Perriello (D); some 60% were undecided. On the Republican side, former Republican National Chairman Ed Gillespie was first, with about 33%, followed by 9% for state Sen. Frank Wagner and 7% for Prince William Board Chairman Corey Stewart; about half of GOP voters were undecided. Asa Hutchinson (R) will look into ways to reduce Arkansas’s rate of infants who die in their sleep, now the second highest in the nation. He acknowledged, however, that “This is a very difficult area.
