Texas: Cornyn defends McConnell on Warren. US Sen. John Cornyn (R) agreed with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for cutting off remarks by US Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on the Senate floor. “This is not supposed to be a mud wrestling ring or a food fight,” Cornyn said, reported the Houston Chronicle. Cornyn contended that “Senator Warren tried to hide behind other people’s words by basically reading their words and suggesting it was them speaking and not her.” …….
