Georgia: Dem leads in Congressional race – A surprise in an early poll in the race to replace Tom Price, Democrat John Ossoff leads a large field to replace the now-Sec. of Health and Human Services in a dark red district.  With a large pool of well funded Republicans, could Ossof sneak a victory?  Tennessee: McNally backs off bathroom bill – Lt. Gov. Randy McNally said this week that he doesn’t think the state needs to take any additional steps toward a ‘bathroom bill’ regarding transgender students after the White House announced it was rolling back a guidance allowing students to choose the bathroom based on their perceived gender.  Scott favorite for RGA Vice Chair: – Florida Gov. Rick Scott is a heavy favorite to be named as Vice Chair of the Republican Governor’s Association, which would put him in line to move up to Chair in time for the crucial 2018 elections.
