Alabama: Lawmakers to confer on impeachment. The Alabama House Ethics and Campaign Finance Committee is convening today to consider moving forward to impeach Gov. Robert Bentley (R). Emails of a sexual nature from Bentley to an aide, Rebekah Mason, were made public last year. Bentley and his wife divorced and Mason resigned. Bentley and Mason denied they had a physical relationship; he has said he did nothing illegal and refuses to resign ……. Florida: Nelson leads Scott.  It’s 44% for US Sen. Bill Nelson (D) to 38% for his likely challenger, Gov. Rick Scott (R), who will be term-limited next year. Scott’s approval rating, however, was 46% to Nelson’s 42%. The survey was conducted by the University of North Florida …….  Tennessee: Corker praises immigration order. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R) yesterday said he was “very encouraged by the interagency approach the administration has taken to develop and implement the revised executive order… We all share a desire to protect the American people, and reviewing our nation’s screening and vetting procedures is an appropriate step.” …….
