South Carolina: Graham praises new travel ban. US Sen. Lindsey Graham (R), often a critic of President Trump, this week gave a thumbs up to the President’s new executive order restricting entrance to the US for travelers from certain Middle East countries. The new order “will pass legal muster,” Graham told The Hill, and “help achieve President Trump’s goal of making us safer.” ……. North Carolina: Meadows discusses “Trumpcare.” US Rep. Mark Meadows (R), chairman of the very conservative Freedom Caucus in the House of Representatives, said after a meeting with Vice President Mike Pence (R) that he was “encouraged” after Pence said the measure is “still open for negotiation.” However, reports The Hill,  he added, “Obviously we still have some serious concerns.” ……. Kentucky: Paul dismisses healthcare bill. US Sen. Rand Paul (R), who is a physician, called the Trump-backed healthcare measure “dead on arrival” in the Senate, adding that it was “a bailout for the insurance companies.” …….
