Texas: Conway to lead Russia probe. When US Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) stepped aside from the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation of Russia’s role in the last election, he asked US Rep. Michael Conway (R-TX) to lead the investigation, assisted by US Reps. Tom Rooney (R-FL) and Trey Gowdy (R-SC), reports Sunshine State News ……. Georgia: Ossoff raises big dough. Documentary film-maker Jon Ossoff (D) has raised more than $8.3 million for his 6th District congressional campaign and has $2.1 million on hand. The GOP is likely to point out, however, that 95% of Ossoff’s money came from out of state. On the Republican side, former Secretary of State Karen Handel raised $463,000, with $183,000 on hand and former state Sen. Judson Hill raised $473,000, with $113,000 on hand. Other candidates’ reports have not been published. The first “jungle primary” will take place on April 18 ……. Oklahoma: Fallin pushes criminal justice reform. Noting that “About 10% of our children have a parent who is incarcerated or will be,” Gov. Mary Fallin (R) is urging the legislature to pass some 12 bills recommended by her task force on public safety.
