Texas: Conway to lead Russia probe. When US Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) stepped aside from the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation of Russia’s role in the last election, he asked US Rep. Michael Conway (R-TX) to lead the investigation, assisted by US Reps. Tom Rooney (R-FL) and Trey Gowdy (R-SC), reports Sunshine State News ……. Georgia: Ossoff raises big dough. Documentary film-maker Jon Ossoff (D) has raised more than $8.3 million for his 6th District congressional campaign and has $2.1 million on hand. The GOP is likely to point out, however, that 95% of Ossoff’s money came from out of state. On the Republican side, former Secretary of State Karen Handel raised $463,000, with $183,000 on hand and former state Sen. Judson Hill raised $473,000, with $113,000 on hand. Other candidates’ reports have not been published. The first “jungle primary” will take place on April 18 ……. Oklahoma: Fallin pushes criminal justice reform. Noting that “About 10% of our children have a parent who is incarcerated or will be,” Gov. Mary Fallin (R) is urging the legislature to pass some 12 bills recommended by her task force on public safety. Fallin noted that children with an incarcerated parent are about seven times more likely to end up in the correctional system, reported the Tulsa World …….
