Tennessee: Corker praises Syria strike. Appearing on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R) called the missile attack on a base in Syria “very successful.” He added, “I had a nice conversation with the president last night and told him I was really proud of our nation and I thanked him for taking the steps that he had taken. I felt like they were proportionate.” …….Texas: Rove on Trump’s tweets. Asserting that – aside from the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court – the President’s first 100 days “have been dominated by needless controversies and stalled initiatives,” long-time political strategist/analyst Karl Rove said President Trump should confine his tweets to substantive matters. He added, “Maybe Mr. Trump’s top advisers should take turns reviewing his tweets in advance.” ……. Arkansas: Hutchinson laments upcoming executions. Due to the soon-to-expire supply of the lethal drug used in executions, the state of Arkansas will execute seven death-row inmates in the month of April. “It’s not my choice,” Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) told a news conference, reported in the Washington Post. “I would love to have those extended over a period of multiple months and years, but that’s not the circumstances that I find myself in.” …….
