Florida: Putnam, Graham running for governor. On Monday, state Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam (R) filed the paperwork that makes him an official candidate for governor in 2018. No other Republican has filed so far. Then on Tuesday, former US Rep. Gwen Graham (D) announced that she will be a candidate for governor. Two other Democrats are already in the race, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum and Orlando businessman Chris King ……. Oklahoma: Edmundson running for governor. Former state Attorney General Drew Edmondson (D) became the third Democrat to announce for governor in next year’s election. “Oklahoma isn’t broken, we’re just broke,” Edmondson said in his announcement, says The McCarville Report. Two other Democrats, House Minority Leader Scott Inman and former state Senator Connie Johnson, announced previously ……. North Carolina: Cooper gets divided approval rating. The latest Elon Poll showed that Gov. Roy Cooper (D), inaugurated in January, has the support of 48% of Tar Heel voters; 70% of Democrats approve of the job he’s doing compared to 24%
