Georgia: Historic turnout in 6th District. Nearly 260,000 votes were cast in Tuesday’s special congressional election. That is way more than the 214,000 in the gubernatorial election in the 6th District in 2014. Although it is less than the 331,000 who voted in the district in last year’s presidential election, no turnout in a previous special congressional even comes close ……. Texas: Trump approval rating down, except for Republicans. Overall, 51% of registered voters in theLone Star State disapprove of the job President Trump is doing while 43% approve in the latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll. Among Republicans, however, 80% approve. Among Democrats 90% disapprove. Polarization, anyone? ……. Florida: Morgan will sue for smokable pot. Well-known trial lawyer and potential gubernatorial candidate John Morgan (D or Ind) does not like the medical marijuana legislation that is on Gov. Rick Scott’s (R) desk, because it does not allow patients to smoke cannabis. So Morgan is going to sue for patients’ right to smoke. He also contends he will win his suit, reports Sunshine State News. Stay tuned …….
