The Kentucky Senate Democratic Caucus this week voted to remove former governor and current state Sen. Julian Carroll from his position as minority whip and urged him to resign following a tv report alleging that he propositioned and groped a then-30 year old man in 2005. Virginia: Kaine gears up for re-election bid. Senator Tim Kaine (D), Hillary Clinton’s running mate in 2016, has hired a crew of members of that campaign to work for him in his re-election bid next year. Corey Stewart, a fiery Trump-style Republican, is the only announced GOP candidate in the race so far.
