Alabama: Trump endorses Strange. Last night President Trump endorsed incumbent USSen. Luther Strange (R) in the special election GOP primary on August 15. The President tweeted, “Senator Luther Strange has done a great job representing the people of the Great State of Alabama. He has my complete and total endorsement!” The tweet was reported by Roll Call. Trump’s support could put Strange over the 50% mark needed to avoid a runoff ……. Arkansas: Boozman says tax reform will be bipartisan. Speaking on KUAR public radio, US Sen. John Boozman (R) said that after meeting with US Sen. Orin Hatch (R-UT) and other senators, he believes tax reform legislation “will be bipartisan. We’re going to do this through the committee process, very open, and try and get Democrat support.” …….
