Arkansas: Cotton hits “ethnic supremacism.” US Sen. Tom Cotton (R) issued a statement on the violence in Charlottesville: “I’m currently traveling in the Balkans, where the long, violent history of ethnic supremacism still stalks the land and is a reminder of how unique America is. White supremacists who claim to ‘take America back’ only betray their own ignorance of what makes America so special… These contemptible little men do not speak for what is just, noble, and best about America.” ……. Louisiana: Edwards slams Charlottesville violence. “White supremacists represent the very worst of society,” tweeted Gov. John Bel Edwards (D). “This is hate & racism. Pure & simple. We stand w/ the people of #Charlottesville.” ……. Alabama: Ivey to make 2018 decision. Gov. Kay Ivey, when asked whether she will run to succeed herself next year, told reporters yesterday, “I’m strongly considering that. We’ll make a decision sooner than later.” Ivey was on a tour of Alabama cities visiting schools …….
