Texas: Green cancels impeachment resolution. US Rep. Al Green (D) announced on the House floor Monday that he will not introduce his articles of impeachment this week due to the massacre in Las Vegas. “Impeachment is postponed … Let us mourn. Let us heal,” Green said, reported Fox News. Democratic leaders have urged their party to go slow on impeachment. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) told The Hill, “We’re not there yet.” ……. Florida: Voters undecided in governor’s race. In a mid-September poll by St. LeoUniversity, 44% of Republicans and 44% of Democrats said they were undecided in next year’s gubernatorial contest, reports Sunshine State News. For the GOP, state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam led with 20% while all others were in single digits. US Rep. Ron DeSantis had 7% and state House Speaker Richard Corcoran had 4%. For the Democrats, ex-US Rep. Patrick Murphy drew 14%, attorney John Morgan had 12% and ex-US Rep. Gwen Graham had 7% …… North Carolina: Voters split on Trump, many issues. The latest Elon University Poll, taken in late September, found that 92% of Democrats disapprove of the job President Trump is doing while 75% of Republicans approve of his performance. Asked about repealing Obamacare, 48% disagree while 44% agree. And on whether Confederate monuments should be taken down, 59% say the monuments should remain while 29% said they should be taken down …….
