Texas: Houston woman mails bombs. Julia Poff has been indicted in Federal court for mailing bombs in 2016 to President Obama and Gov. Greg Abbott (R). Neither bomb exploded. Poff was upset with Abbott for failing to make her ex-husband pay support payments to her when Abbott was Texas attorney general; she didn’t like President Obama ……. Kentucky: Paul has pneumonia. According to US Sen. Rand Paul’s (R) wife Kelley Paul, her husband returned to Washington with a 102.5 fever, diagnosed as pneumonia by his internist. Kelley Paul revealed her husband’s condition in a column for CNN.com, later reported in Roll Call. Paul is still recovering from being knocked to the ground by his next-door neighbor ……. Florida: Bipartisanship is not dead. US Reps. Vern Buchanan (R) and Alcee Hastings (D) coauthored a resolution calling for an end to the slaughter of cat and dog meat for human consumption. The measure has obtained more than 100 co-sponsors. Dog and cat meat is sold as food for humans in a number of Asian countries …….
