South Carolina: Dominion buying SCANA. Virginia-based Dominion Energy is buying the troubled SCANA Corp., owner of a failed nuclear power project. Dominion will pay $14.6 billion and will also pay $1.3 billion in refunds, or about $1,000 per household, to customers of SCE&G, a subsidiary of SCANA, reports The State newspaper. The deal is subject to approval by regulatory agencies ……. Alabama: Moore campaign manager to challenge Roby. Rich Hobson, who has worked for Roy Moore since 2000 and managed his 2017 US Senate campaigns, announced that he will run against US Rep. Martha Roby (R) in the June Republican Primary. Roby drew criticism for withdrawing her support from Donald Trump when the Access Hollywood tape became public. Hobson said he expects Moore to support him, reports the Washington Examiner ……. Arkansas: Cotton backs Iran protests. US Sen.
