Virginia: Dems give Comstock failing grades. The Virginia Democratic Party, anxious to defeat vulnerable second-term US Rep. Barbara Comstock (R), emailed “Barbara Comstock’s Report Card,” which gave her an A from the NRA, 5% from the League of Conservation Voters, 5% from Planned Parenthood, and a zero from the Human Rights Campaign. But she did get a passing grade of 78% from the Family Research Council, which opposes abortion ……. North Carolina: Duke confronts “White Fragility.” Yesterday the Duke Divinity School held a workshop on the difficulty – “anger, fear and guilt” – white people have discussing racism, reported the Washington Times. The workshop was led by Robin DiAngelo, a former University of Washington professor who has a book on the topic coming out soon ……. Alabama: Ivey attends snake festival. Gov. Kay Ivey (R) tweeted that she “enjoyed attending the 58th Annual Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo! … I even had a chance to meet & introduce the Charlie Daniels Band to the stage!” Ivey probably enjoyed the chance to deal with a different breed of rattlesnake …….
